Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown basmati rice or quinoa blend
  • warm water
  • 1/3 cup probiotic yoghurt or kefir (optional)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • few drops vanilla extract
  • drizzle sweetener (maple syrup or honey)
  • Fresh fruit and yoghurt for topping

Method

  1. Rinse grain with lukewarm water and pour into a bowl
  2. Cover grain with lukewarm water (if using yoghurt or kefir add here and mix till combined)
  3. Leave to ferment overnight
  4. Heat grain according to packet instructions, adding vanilla extract
  5. Pour into a bowl, add almond milk (or alternative) and drizzle with sweetener
  6. Top with fresh fruit and yoghurt
